The client wanted a completely natural pool and garden environment which not only looked like but functioned as a mountain swimming hole. To achieve this, we chose all natural finish materials such as stone, boulders, and pebble plaster to use in and around the pool, spa and water feature, and avoided using the variety tile, coping and deck designs found in most pools. We excavated the pool in a constant depth of 10’ in place of the traditional shallow to deep contour. Large shelves and swim out areas were created within the pool, and jump off points were created in the water feature by using two boulders, each weighing five tons, perched above the pool.
